Way too loud... instructions says you will get used to it in about a week. I could not take the noise... no way to adjust the volume of rushing air. I even tried it in another room.. returned for refund.

I think this product works exactly as it says it does. it's a nice alternative to running a fan in the middle of winter, and it is small enough to travel with. i definitely recommend this product to anyone who needs a white noise to sleep.

I have used a sleep mate for about 9 years. Before that I used a small fan that I turned away from myself in colder weather. I love this product so much and then my son used it for a week. He said that he couldn't sleep without it so I bought another one. They are small and easy to take with you wherever you go. It has a nice fan-like noise that you can make louder or softer by moving the cover. This is just what is needed to block out sounds that disrupt sleep for those who are light sleepers or have tinitis.

I have mine in a closet because we have a small bedroom. The noise level is adjustable, but still a little on the loud side.
